"Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit."

Often a a simple psalm is worth more than a volume of insights or theological cleverness. I have the feeling that God values the psalms sung by our hearts more than he values the ideas conceived by our minds.
